Jackson Hole has been blowing up on social media and for good reason. This luxury mountain village sits right before Grand Tetons National Park and offers anything a ‘wannabe cowboy’ could want. Don’t be fooled by the bougie lodges and fancy hotels; this is a destination for all budget types and traveler styles.

Getting There
Getting to Jackson is very limited; you can either drive in, which is what we did, or fly into the very small airport. The airport is situated on the National Park land, making it expensive.
Car rental is one of the only options, especially if you plan on visiting the nearby national parks. Uber and Lyft are practically nonexistent. It may allow you to book a ride, but your car may never show up due to the lack of drivers.

Where to Stay

There are lots of options for staying in Jackson.
We wanted to stay on the budget-friendly end and stayed at Catche House – a high-end hostel. Honestly, since we spent all of our time doing activities, this was a win for us. Our bunk, lockers, and the bathrooms were all individual, with plenty of space and privacy. They also allow you to rent bikes for free and have complimentary coffee.
More Options:
What to Do:
Visit the National Parks

Jackson is 30 minutes from Grand Teton National Park, making it an absolute must for anyone coming into the city. It’s extremely accessible, and most iconic landmarks are free to the public, including Mormon Row and Schwabacher Landing.
Yellowstone is also a short 2-hour drive from the city. You can drive straight through Grand Teton National Park into the South Entrance of Yellowstone, or you can drive around to a separate entrance.
The city is full of unique stores, western wear and lots of shopping opportunities as well.

There are so many things to do in Jackson, for all budget types, but here are some of the most popular.
The Arial Tram:
Make the ascent up Rendezvous Mountain for scenic mountain views of the Tetons, different levels of hiking trails, and access to Corbet’s Cabin for Waffles. During the summer time, you also have access to the Sweetwater Gondola (which is included in your ticket)
Float the Snake River:
Embark down the Snake River on a guided raft tour to see a different side of Wyoming, the riverbed and marshes. Relax and admire the different kinds of wildlife along the water while your guide steers you down the gentle river. These tours are calm enough for families and senior citizens as well.
Horseback Riding:
One of the most popular activities is easily experiencing the Tetons on horseback! Take in the vast mountain peaks, lush valleys, and riverbanks like a cowboy. Pick from a few hours on a beginner ride to full-day long explorations of the National Park and the surrounding forests.
Guided Fishing Trip:
Don’t want to pack all of your fishing gear and want to catch a big one? Try a guided fishing tour, allow a local guide to show you the best spots, and provide all you could need for your Wyoming fishing experience.
For Winter Trips, you can also try:
Dog Sledding and Snowmobiling Combo Trip:
Looking for something a bit more unique? Suit up in your winter gear, and set out dog-sledding in view of the Grand Tetons. Then switch to a snowmobile for a high-speed excursion through the snowy valleys. (all ethicality ran)
For food, I highly recommend:
Cafe Genevieve which serves all day breakfast.

Hand Craft Pizza located right on the main strip of the town.
And of course the Iconic Cowboy Coffee – Pro tip, download their app and order ahead or you might get stuck in a 45+ minute wait.

I’ll see you,
